Gerald and Diana Sykes live on the fourth floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, but for the semi-retired couple, it might as well be the top of the world. “Living here is a grand experience you appreciate every day,” Diana gushes.
The pair – he’s a Brit who owns several businesses in Europe; she’s an author from Charlotte, North Carolina – reminisces about the day in 2004 when, during an early-morning vacation stroll along the sand, they noticed the early stirrings of the hotel’s construction on Seven Mile Beach. “As soon as we found out about the amenities a The Ritz Residences, we were captivated and impressed,” says Gerald, “We thought, now wouldn’t it be nice to have all that on your doorstep?”
