ERIC RIPERT

Celebrity Chef Eric Ripert’s partnership with Dragon Bay started many years ago prior to the 2005 opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and is as strong as ever today.

Michael Ryan, owner/developer, and Chef Eric share the same passion for quality and being the best of the best, and are excited to continue their partnership with Chef Eric as the Artistic Director for all food and beverage experiences at the planned luxury residential community.

"Few are as passionate and daring as Chef Eric Ripert. First he, as a young man, took New York by storm and redefined what could be done with seafood and flavors from around the globe refined through a flawless French palate," Ryan said. “Then he came to the Caribbean, a place that stole his heart, to redefine quality and excellence by creating Blue and, working with the local fisherman and producers, crafted the finest restaurant in the region.”

Following on from his success with Blue, Chef Eric continued to look for innovative ways to share his love of the oceans and their bounty, as well as his affinity for the Cayman Islands.

The result was the annual Cayman Cookout food festival, which has Ripert inviting fellow chefs, notably Anthony Bourdain, David Chang, Grant Achatz, Jose Andres, Dean Fearing and more, to come together and celebrate the lifestyle of food and wine set to the beautiful backdrop of Cayman.

Ryan said, "We are pleased to continue and expand our close relationship with Chef Eric. His dedication to his craft and the unsurpassed quality of his cuisine is directly in line with the values of Dragon Bay."

Ripert was named the Top Chef in New York City in 1998, Outstanding Chef of the Year in 2003 and granted the rank of Chevalier in the Legion d'Honneur in 2009.
